“I fell in love with the people that make up SIGGRAPH; a group of people that enthusiastically support and cheer each other on in the development of ever greater graphics and interactive techniques year after year.” —David Verona (First SIGGRAPH: 2014)
New for 2018, five areas of interest are destined to bring you the best experience based on your career focus:
PRODUCTION & ANIMATION
Animators and production teams come to SIGGRAPH to discover the latest techniques, equipment, and creative processes. The conference also plays host to the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival and its Electronic Theater, a qualifying festival for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
RESEARCH & EDUCATION
The wide array of learning opportunities for research and education professionals range from technical paper presentations to instructional courses to informal talks and panel discussions. The Educator’s Forum provides an opportunity for educators to gather and learn during a two-day curated curriculum.
ARTS & DESIGN
Creative minds converge. Programs like the Art Gallery, Art Papers, and Studio are areas of the conference that celebrate the imagination and spark dialogue between artists, makers, and designers.
GAMING & INTERACTIVE
Discover a diverse menu of education and demonstrations of real-time techniques, game design and development, and mobile app technology. The Experience Hall and Immersive Pavilion offer plenty of opportunity to demo the latest interactive advancements.
Before a new technology hits the mainstream, it’s on display and in discussion at SIGGRAPH. Early generations of attendees were among the first to experience virtual and mixed reality (and the now household name Xbox). Say hello to the future.
