This December, the creative minds behind Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers” are heading to Kuala Lumpur!
SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 is excited to welcome Pixar Animation Studios for a Featured Speakers session, “We’re All In This Together: The Making Of Disney and Pixar’s ‘Hoppers,’” offering a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry, technology, and collaboration that brought the film to life.
Creating the world of “Hoppers” came with a unique challenge: Bringing together three distinct visual styles, from the graphic clarity of comedy and the carefully controlled lighting and staging of suspense to the rich, observational beauty of nature photography.
To bring these elements together, the filmmakers developed a collaborative approach that balanced stylization with realism, combining physical simulation and artistic design to create the film’s distinctive visual world.
At SIGGRAPH Asia 2026, the Pixar team will share insights into the creative decisions, technical innovations, and collaborative processes behind the film, highlighting how artists and technologists across different disciplines worked together to bring their vision to the screen.
