About Our Guests

Dr. Diana Arellano is currently Senior Lecturer for Technical Directing at the Animationsinstitut of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. She is responsible for shaping the curriculum, guiding and mentoring Technical Directing students in their exploration of new technological frontiers while gaining hands-on professional experience. Previously, Diana served as Senior Manager for Software Development at Accenture Song Content in Stuttgart, Germany, where she led agile teams, bringing structure and best practices in agile project management to internal teams and client projects. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Balearic Islands, Spain, specializing in Affective Computing. Beyond academia and industry, she is deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, having (co-)organized panel discussions on Women in CG and Visual Arts at renowned conferences such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, FMX, and Ars Electronica. A longtime ACM SIGGRAPH volunteer since 2007 — beginning as Student Volunteer — Diana served as the SIGGRAPH 2022 Student Volunteer Program Chair and is currently the SIGGRAPH 2026 Executive Committee Liaison.

Nicolas Henchoz is the founding director of the EPFL+ECAL Lab, the design research center of the Ecole polytechnique fédérale of Lausanne, Switzerland. An engineer, researcher, art director, and manager, he has developed a unique vision of innovation, blending cultural creativity, scientific practices, and human observation to foster sustainable adoption. His projects have led to many academic contributions and awards. He has also curated more than 30 exhibitions in institutions, including the American Institute of Architecture (NYC), the Royal College of Art (London), and the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris and Harvard University. He’s the co-founder of GAMI Global Alliance for Media Innovation and has been honored as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French minister for culture and communication. Nicolas was the SIGGRAPH 2023 Art Papers Chair and SIGGRAPH 2024 Global Diplomat.
